Telegram Introduces New Features in Latest Update

Telegram has recently received an update introducing several new features to enhance the instant messaging platform. Among the most notable additions is Saved Messages 2.0, which now offers users the ability to filter and customize their saved texts, media, and links. Additionally, the update brings various other enhancements such as One-Time Voice and Video Messages, pause and resume recording, Read Time in private chats, a redesigned shared contacts layout, and more. These updates are being rolled out to both the Android and iOS versions of the Telegram app.

Saved Messages 2.0:

The Saved Messages feature allows users to easily forward text, media, and links for later viewing. With Saved Messages 2.0, Telegram has made significant improvements to this feature. Users can now view saved messages as individual chat windows, making it easier to organize and access content. Additionally, users can pin specific chats to keep them at the top for quick access.

To access this feature, users can tap on the title space within Saved Messages, which will lead them to the chats. Alternatively, they can tap on the three vertical dots in the top right corner and select “View as Messages” or “View as Chats.” Moreover, tags have been introduced to Saved Messages, allowing users to use emojis or words to tag and filter their saved messages. These tags appear at the top of the Saved Messages screen for easy filtering.

Furthermore, a new Saved tab has been added to the shared media section of each chat, group, or channel, allowing users to quickly access all saved messages from that particular conversation.

Other Telegram Features:

1. One-Time Voice and Video Messages: Telegram now offers the option to send voice and video messages that can be viewed only once. This feature enhances privacy and security by automatically deleting the message after playback.

2. Pause and Resume Recording: Users can now pause and resume voice or video recordings, eliminating the need to send multiple messages in case of interruptions.

3. Read Time in Private Chats: In private chats, users can now see the exact time when a message was read, providing greater transparency. This feature can be toggled on or off in the Privacy Settings.

4. New Design for Shared Contacts: Telegram has introduced a new feature where sharing the contact of a premium user will display a customized contact card reflecting their chosen color, emojis, and other customizations.

Additionally, the update includes new app icons for Telegram on macOS, improved video recording quality, faster loading times, and higher-quality video stories for premium users.
