Redmi A3 Expected to Launch Soon: Leaked Retail Box Reveals Key Specifications

The Redmi A3, anticipated as the successor to the Redmi A2, is poised to hit the market soon, following its predecessor’s introduction in India in May 2023 alongside the Redmi A2+. Positioned as a budget offering, the Redmi A3 is rumored to retain its status as the most affordable among all Redmi models. However, significant upgrades are expected compared to its predecessors, as indicated by leaks and retail box images surfacing online.

A recent report from GSMArena unveiled images of the Redmi A3 retail box, shedding light on some key specifications. The most notable revelation is the inclusion of a larger 6.71-inch display, a significant jump from the 6.52-inch panel featured in the Redmi A2. Additionally, the display is rumored to offer a smoother experience with a 90Hz refresh rate. With the retail boxes leaked and sightings in African retail outlets, the launch of the Redmi A3 appears imminent.

Accompanying the larger display, the Redmi A3 is reported to boast 128GB of onboard storage paired with 4GB of RAM, a notable upgrade from the storage options available in the Redmi A2, which launched with 32GB and 64GB variants. Recent leaks also hinted at a 64GB storage variant for the Redmi A3.

In terms of design, the Redmi A3 is expected to feature a larger camera module, showcased in images from the leaked retail box. Positioned centrally towards the top of the back panel, the circular camera module is anticipated to house a dual rear camera system complemented by an LED flash. Color options are speculated to include black, blue, and forest green, with a centred waterdrop notch on the display to accommodate the front camera.

Other anticipated features of the Redmi A3 include dual SIM connectivity, Android 13 out-of-the-box, and an HD+ resolution display with a 120Hz touch sampling rate and 400nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the phone is rumored to be powered by a MediaTek chipset paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM, offering support for up to 8GB VRAM, and eMMC 5.1 onboard storage.

Camera specifications may comprise a 13-megapixel primary sensor alongside an AI-backed camera for the dual rear setup, while the front camera is expected to sport an 8-megapixel unit. To keep the device running, a substantial 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W wired charging is speculated to be included.
