Honor is gearing up to unveil the Honor X9b 5G in India on February 15, alongside the Honor Choice X5 earphones and Honor Choice Watch. Ahead of its official debut, the Chinese smartphone brand has teased multiple details, revealing key specifications and color options of the Honor X9b 5G. The device is confirmed to feature a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC and a robust 5,800mAh battery. The Honor 9Xb is already making waves in select global markets.
In a press release issued on Tuesday , Honor disclosed the Honor X9b 5G’s specifications and color variants. The smartphone boasts a substantial 5,800mAh battery, promising impressive endurance with up to 18 hours of calling time, a maximum of 12 hours of gaming, and up to 19 hours of video playback on a single charge. Honor claims that the battery retains 80 percent of its capacity even after 1,000 charge cycles, earning it the Gold battery label from DXOMark.
Running on Android 13-based MagicOS 7.2, the Honor X9b 5G comes equipped with Qualcomm’s 4nm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Additionally, the device supports expansion up to 20GB through virtual RAM. For design, the Honor X9b 5G is teased to debut in Midnight Black and Sunrise Orange shades, drawing inspiration from high-end watches. The camera module features a distinctive dual-ring design.
The official launch event for the Honor X9b 5G is scheduled for February 15 in India, where the Honor Choice Earbuds X5 and Honor Choice Watch will also make their debut.
Honor previously introduced the Honor X9b 5G in select global markets such as Malaysia and UAE last year. The Indian variant is expected to retain the impressive 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display and the powerful 108-megapixel triple rear camera setup found in the global variant. Moreover, it is likely to support 35W wired fast charging for quick and convenient power-ups.
