Vivo Y200e 5G: A Potential Arrival on the Horizon

There’s speculation brewing in the smartphone realm as the Vivo Y200e 5G appears to be gearing up for a debut soon. The handset has made its presence known on certification sites, indicating that Vivo is diligently working on its development. Expected to join the Vivo Y200 5G, which made its mark in India back in October 2023, the Y200e 5G is already creating waves even before any official announcements, thanks to leaked details shedding light on its design and key features.

According to a report by 91Mobiles, the Vivo Y200e 5G was spotted on the Google Play Console with the model number V2327. Insights gleaned from this sighting suggest that the device will be equipped with an octa-core chipset bearing the model number SM4450, a clear indication of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. Coupled with an Adreno 613 GPU and 8GB of RAM, the Y200e 5G is anticipated to run on an Android 14-based UI.

The leaked information also provides a glimpse of the handset’s design, showcasing a blue color variant, with expectations of additional color options upon launch. The overall design bears resemblance to its predecessor, the Vivo Y200 5G, featuring a triple rear camera setup housed within three separate circular units alongside an LED flash unit. Notably, the textured back panel sports a rectangular camera module in the top left corner, reminiscent of the older model, albeit without the Aura Light feature. The display is depicted with noticeable bezels and a centered hole-punch slot to accommodate the front camera. Additionally, the power button and volume rockers are positioned on the right edge for easy access.

Speaking of its predecessor, the Vivo Y200 5G debuted with a Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. It boasts a 6.67-inch 120Hz full-HD+ AMOLED display and ships with Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13. The dual rear camera setup comprises a 64-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) alongside a 2-megapixel sensor, while the front camera features a 16-megapixel sensor.

Upon its initial launch, the Vivo Y200 5G was priced at Rs. 21,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant, available in Desert Gold and Jungle Green color options. More recently, Vivo introduced a new 8GB + 256GB variant priced at Rs. 23,999, further expanding the handset’s offerings in the market.
